Social care staffing in Scotland

The right person matters.
So does the team behind them.

Support workers and social care professionals, carefully matched to your service. Clear checks, familiar people and a named team that stays involved.

Independent evidence

Confidence in the organisation behind the service.

Our organisation’s registered nursing service was graded 6, Excellent, for leadership and staffing in the inspection completed on 7 May 2024. This is evidence about the service assessed, not a separate grade for every social care service, worker or shift.

Continuity and relationships

People who get to know your service.

For regular requirements, we work towards a familiar group of suitable workers. Better understanding of routines, stronger relationships and less repeated orientation.

Familiar people

We consider continuity when planning recurring cover, while being clear about suitable availability.

Communication that matters

Interviews explore communication, experience and values. Clear understanding is part of matching someone to the work.

Feedback has consequences

Concerns are reviewed and acted on. Suitability for further work is considered, not assumed.

Technology and people

The booking

Start with the service, not just the shift.

  1. 01

    Tell us what is needed

The role, location, dates and the people or service being supported.

  2. 02

    We clarify the detail

Experience, responsibilities, training and any service-specific requirements.

  3. 03

    We discuss suitable people

Availability and relevant information are considered before a booking is agreed.

  4. 04

    We stay involved

Clear booking information, communication when things change and follow-up after placement.

After the booking

Feedback changes what happens next.

A concern should lead to a response. We listen, review the information, take appropriate action and keep the service informed.

Depending on the concern, this can include pausing further placements while suitability is reviewed. Moving a worker elsewhere is not a substitute for dealing with feedback.

Managed agency supply

One accountable route for a wider requirement.

Turning Point Scotland appointed TSCCP as its Master Vendor staffing partner in May 2026.

The model brings primary and secondary agency supply together through an agreed route, with clearer communication and oversight.

Explore managed supply

Staffing shaped around the need

  • Individual shifts or planned temporary cover
  • Regular support and familiar groups of workers
  • Temp-to-perm arrangements where suitable
  • Managed agency supply for broader requirements

Practical answers

Questions before your first booking

Can you help with urgent cover?

Call 0141 212 6565 with the role, location and shift times. We will discuss requirements and suitable availability. We do not guarantee that every request can be filled.

Can we request familiar workers?

Yes. Tell us where continuity matters. For regular requirements, we aim to build a familiar group of suitable workers, subject to availability.

Which social care settings do you support?

Our work includes supported living, learning disability, mental health, community support, care at home, housing and homelessness, residential childcare and social work services. We clarify each service’s requirements.

What checks happen before placement?

Required identity, right to work, employment history, references, PVG, professional registration and training checks are considered for the role. We also assess experience, communication and suitability.

What information can we see about a candidate?

Our team can discuss relevant experience, qualifications, training and compliance information. Profiles support a suitability conversation and are shared appropriately for the booking.

What if we have concerns about a worker?

Contact your consultant promptly. We review concerns, consider appropriate action and future placement suitability, and keep you informed. Call for an urgent shift issue.

Can TSCCP coordinate other agencies?

A Master Vendor arrangement can provide one primary route for staffing requirements and coordination of agreed secondary suppliers. Contact us to discuss whether this suits your organisation.
